So, this post isn?t as fun to write or read about as some of our others- but we certainly think it is a crucial one.? According to the recent study by SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital, prostate cancer affects more than two million American men. Additionally, as many as 61 percent of men know little about it. When detected early on, this cancer can be treated and has a high survival rate. The problem is: in the early states, there are few signs or symptoms of this cancer ? so the best way to stay on top of your health is with a prostate screening and you can do so for FREE at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Long Island College Hospital. These screenings will include a health assessment and a digital rectal exam for all men over the age of 40. (Okay, definitely not fun- but hey, we women have been going to OB/GYNs for years and tell me that isn?t invasive!)
