As you might expect of the festival that is a spin-off of Texas's famous SXSW festival, NXNE (North By Northeast) is awash with hip music and films, as well as talks on the intersection of creativity, technology and entrepreneurialism.

Go crazy for The Flaming Lips, who headline the five-day extravaganza in Toronto, Canada, on 11-17 June. Other acts include Matthew Good (the man who coined the phrase ?first-world problems?), ex-Wu-Tang Clan rapper Raekwon, and punk rockers Bad Religion.

Catch the highlights of the film quotient of the fest: shorts filmed on phones and pocket cameras for the Disposable Film Festival and a screening of Irvine Welsh?s latest drug-fuelled odyssey Ecstasy - Welsh himself is due to put in an appearance.

We have a pair of five-day wristbands to give away to one lucky reader, which entitle you to free entry to all the film and music events. To enter, register your interest on our competition page and we?ll let you know if you are the winner!

NXNE runs from 11 to 17 June in Toronto, Canada.
